DEPARTMENT OF Illustrations and Animation 2D/3D

DEPARTMENT OF Illustrations and Animation 2D/3D

The Illustration and Cartoon Studies Program aims to train people to be professional illustrators or cartoonists. The Program features different approaches to animation and illustration, and focuses on narration, character creation, and the development of a professional ethic.
The Illustration and Animation Department brings together different specialist subjects, from Comics Illustration, to Animation (2D/3D), to Motion Design and Video Game Animation. Professionals are supported in the creation of singular narrative universes, in their ability to construct narratives, to portrait characters and their evolution, and to design video games – all this by combining their technical excellence, semantics and creativity. Students are also provided expertise in 2D and 3D film animation and special effects.
A multidisciplinary teamwork among students helps them explore different approaches, techniques, media, applications, and develop expertise in communication, narration, interactivity, information, and animation.
